ASIC breach reporting + IDR complaint management. Automated. Auditable. Defensible.

Regvanta automates ASIC breach reporting and IDR complaint management for AFSL and ACL holders from unstructured intake to lodgment-ready reports and biannual ASIC CSV submissions. Deterministic regulatory logic. Cryptographic audit trail. One platform, zero spreadsheets.

12,298 breach reports were lodged with ASIC in 2023-24. But 89% of licensees have never reported under the reportable situations regime.

Meanwhile, ASIC's updated IDR Data Reporting Handbook now requires biannual complaint data submissions in a prescribed 22-column CSV format covering every complaint received, its outcome, and its resolution timeframe.

ASIC is running targeted surveillance on non-reporters and has shifted from facilitation to enforcement. The new Instrument 2025/289 added five precise conditions for relief from reporting. RG 271 mandates response deadlines of 21 to 45 days depending on complaint type.

If you're tracking reportable situations in one spreadsheet and complaints in another, your next ASIC interaction will be uncomfortable.

What Regvanta does

Triple-Clock Engine

Tracks the 30-day reporting deadline, 60-day investigation tripwire, and 60-day remediation window simultaneously, each with distinct anchor points per the instrument. Colour-coded alerts before deadlines expire.

Five-Condition Relief Test

Automatically assesses all five conditions from Instrument 2025/289 including Trust Money exclusion, threshold aggregation, and remediation verification. Generates a formal Relief Rationale Memo documenting whether you need to report , and why.

Cryptographic Vault

Every fiduciary decision is SHA-256 hashed, logic-version anchored, and committed to an append-only vault. If ASIC asks for your audit trail, you hand them a tamper-evident PDF with a cryptographic proof.

RG 271 Clock Engine

Calculates response deadlines by complaint type — 30 days for standard, 21 days for credit hardship and default notices, 45 days for superannuation and traditional trustee, 118 days for death benefit distributions. Alerts at 7 days, 3 days, and overdue.

ASIC Biannual CSV Export

Generates the prescribed 22-column CSV in the exact format required by the IDR Data Reporting Handbook. DD/MM/YYYY dates, UTF-8 encoding, conditional field validation. One click, submission-ready.

Complaint-to-Breach Bridge

When a complaint reveals a potential breach, it flows directly into the breach reporting module. No re-entry, no broken audit trails. One system tracks both obligations.

How it works

BREACH REPORTING

Step 1: Paste the incident

Unstructured text goes in an email, a Teams message, a compliance note. AI extracts dates, amounts, root causes, and flags Trust Money automatically.

Step 2: The Brain calculates

Deterministic logic runs the three clocks, 365-day rolling aggregation, and the five-condition relief test. No AI touches the regulatory decision. Every calculation is code-based and auditable.

Step 3: Lock and lodge

A compliance officer signs the digital attestation. The record is SHA-256 hashed and locked. A formal ASIC PDF report is generated with Relief Rationale Memo, pre-flight validation, and cryptographic proof.

IDR COMPLAINTS

Step 1: Paste the complaint

An email from a client, a phone call note, a social media post. AI extracts the complainant, product, issue category, and maps to ASIC's prescribed taxonomy codes automatically.

Step 2: Clocks start

RG 271 deadlines are calculated based on complaint type. Acknowledgement due within 1 business day. Written response rules applied automatically for hardship, insurance, and superannuation complaints.

Step 3: Resolve or escalate

Track the complaint through to resolution or escalate to AFCA with a full audit trail. When you close the complaint, ASIC outcome codes are recorded. At reporting time, export one CSV and submit.

Built for Australian compliance officers

Regvanta is purpose-built for AFSL and ACL holders navigating breach reporting and IDR complaint management. Two mandatory ASIC obligations. One platform. On-premises deployment. Your data never leaves your infrastructure.
